About Us
History
From its inception in June 2015, LHN has been engaged in several activities. These are implemented using a participatory approach, from the needs identification through execution to monitoring and evaluating progress. The various interventions, in line with the current 2021 –2025 Strategic Direction, based on local needs, LHN’s expertise and competitive edge, are indicated below. Important is that over the years LHN has gained:
1. Legitimacy and credibility among local government officials and communities.
2. The adoption of participatory, evidence-based, long-term impact-oriented and self-reliance-building interventions that prioritize marginalized communities/groups.
3. A culture of honesty, openness, innovation, high sense of voluntarism, and transparent and accountable partnership with donors and beneficiary communities
4. Heightening community self-reliance drive for own development.
5. Core personnel competencies in its thematic focus.
6. Ventured into feared areas with a listening ear, learning attitude, and adaptive management only to produce remarkable results.
